Rakash or Ragash (ラカシュ) was the Captain of the Seigroil. He saw battle during Operation Phantom Flame and was killed in action during a skirmish against the United Mankind while conducting a Recon Mission at Wimple alongside the Basroil.
History[edit | edit source]
Having earned a commission as captain of an assault ship, Rakash commanded the Seigroil capably in battle against the United Mankind during Operation Phantom Flame. He served as a member of the 1058th Assault Squadron Latouche, then commanded by Baroness Febdash Atosuryua Loy. Maintaining a cool demeanor, he developed a reputation for courage in battle along many of his squadron.
During the 1058th's mission to scout Wimple, he and Deca-Commander Abriel Lafiel's ships were weighed down by debris and forced to trail behind. A surprise mine attack on both their ships left him with a severe wound to the head, resulting in the loss of an eye. While emergency first aid from his officers saved his life from this initial emergency, he found himself trapped on the bridge with the handful of officers that survived.
Stuck with a choice between saving himself and the officers or permitting his crew to focus on damage control, to prevent a breakup of the Seigroil in plane space, he ordered his crew to ignore the bridge and focus on keeping the ship afloat. As their mission to return to Aptic grew more dire, he knew he could not afford to slow the Basroil and her crew any more. He ordered the transfer of all hands, dead, wounded, and able, over to the Basroil and all fuel. With this he and his officers surrendered their lives to protect their crew and comrades now all aboard the Basroil.
The final moments due to the damage sustained to the Basroil's radar are not precisely known. He's posthumously recognized has having died in battle adhering to the highest values of the Laburec.
